Different Occasions for Baking a Cake

When people think about getting a cake for someone else, the first type of occasion that comes to mind is for a Birthday. This is followed by wedding cakes. However, there are many other occasions you may not have thought of, & after all, it’s always good to have a valid excuse for eating cake!

Probably the next most common cake is Christening Cakes in Surrey. These are often traditional looking, similar in some ways to wedding cakes. They are often fruit cake & covered in white icing. The top is often covered with Christian symbols such as crosses, & will have the name of the infant on the cake or the cake board. It is also popular to have a small figurine of the infant on top.

The next most common is for anniversaries, such as wedding anniversaries. These tend to be a bit more diverse as they often try & capture the personalities of both partners. In case you are stuck for ideas, you can decorate the cake with symbols, pictures or figurines which represent the partner's likes & hobbies.

Infant showers are rising in popularity throughout the world as well as a cake can be made for the infant shower party to celebrate the expected infant. You will require to consult the sister as to what her favourite flavour is, as it’s likely they will be the eating it!

If someone is retiring from their workplace, then this is a great opportunity to present a cake. Often, on the last day of work, there will be a small gathering of colleagues to present gifts, & what better than a piece of cake to help the celebrations along.

We all make mistakes and do things they might regret, so a great, original and thoughtful way of saying sorry is to give a cake, if it's been custom made with a personalized message. The cake would not must be large or elaborate, but the though behind it will go a long way to make up for things.

The opposite of a sorry cake would be a thank you cake. Has someone done something kind to you recently? Or done you a large favour? Or has supported you through a difficult time, then giving a cake would be a great way of showing your appreciation.
